Who Does Maou End Up With?

The anime series The Devil is a Part-Timer is based on Satoshi Wagahara’s book Hataraku Ma-sama! The plot of the program centers around Satan’s employment at a fast-food joint. This series has been really popular among anime fans. ASCII Media Works has released two manga adaptations, Dengeki Daioh & Dengeki Maoh. Between April and June 2013, White Fox and Naoto Hosoda’s 13-episode anime adaptation aired on television. In July 2022, the second season, which was created by Daisuke Tsukushi and produced by 3Hz, debuted.

Since its release, everyone wants to know what will happen with Maou in the upcoming episodes. Will Maou end up with EMI? What will happen next? Let’s learn more about this series and answer the question in demand: Who Does Maou End Up With?

What’s Devil is a Part-Timer?

According to the concept of the anime series, With the aid of his demonic commanders Lucifer,  Alciel, Malacoda, and Adramelech, the Demon Lord Satan attempts to capture the four continents of Ente Isla in order to rule the globe. After being challenged by the protagonist Emilia and her friends and killing Malacoda and Adramelech, Devil and Alciel leave the Ente Isla universe through a gate that leads to the present-day city of Tokyo, Japan.

Alciel and Satan, however, take on human-like appearances because there is no sorcery in the modern world. Alciel works as Satan’s houseman as he works a part-time job at McDonald’s in order to make ends meet. One day, Satan, now known as Sadao Ma, encounters Emi Yusa, a girl who turns out to be Emilia. The plot then develops and reveals each character’s moral principles and personality. More Ente Isla characters appear, and they too deal with the problems of the new planet, frequently in a humorous way.

The two finally reached peace, though they were still rather hostile to one another. Since then, they have become closer and regularly work together to resist the Ente Isla threats that continue to materialize and endanger their new community and friends. Maou has admitted that Chiho has an extremely evident crush on her, but he has not yet acknowledged her sentiments. Maou said in the light novel that he doesn’t want Chiho to be any closer to him than she currently is because he fears she would get wounded.

The Devil is a Part-Timer lite book series does allude to a potential love interest, as Maou is made glad by Emi’s grin when they first meet and prior to realizing who the other is. Although, of course, some interactions between the two would suggest burgeoning romance, the anime hasn’t explicitly stated if or not they have love feelings for one another. Of course, their designated daughter Alas Ramus adds even more complexity to the situation.

Although she has some trouble accepting Maou’s true identity, Chiho does have proven loving affection for him. Emi hasn’t expressed romantic sentiments with anyone else, and despite how cliché it may sound, romances between adversaries are frequently the focus of this kind of story. Naturally, none of the potential matches have taken place thus far, therefore, we’ll have to hope for Season 2 to progress further.
