Dolores Died: Evan Rachel Wood Not Returning For Westworld Season 4?
Evan Rachel Wood’s character Dolores is a character than fans have been seeing for a long time, and now they have to bear the loss of the character as the third season recently ended and we are now left with nothing but a death. The third season finale confirmed the death of Dolores, and everyone is freaking out, as they do not know how to process this. Some are even believing that this does not have to be true, and there is more to this.
But as per Nolan, the character is gone forever, and it made everyone sad again. Nobody wanted to know this, as everyone was expecting that the character can be back anytime sooner or later, but this statement just broke a lot of hearts. In the end, all those characters we love are robots, so the writers are trying to make it more realistic even if it takes some of the beloved characters’ lives.
We saw in the season finale that Serac got Dolores on Rehoboam’s computers, and then started deleting all the memories till there was nothing left. The moment was heartbreaking for the viewers, and that was a huge cliffhanger kind of ending which nobody expected, although Nolan has confirmed the character will not return, so it is not a cliffhanger anymore.
So, Evan Rachel Wood will no longer be seen in another season, as the fourth season of Westworld is surely going to happen. Nolan said, “I think it’s important with a show in which death can be impermanent — these are robots, after all — to mark the occasion with Dolores. That version of that character is gone. We love Evan Rachel Wood and we haven’t started talking publicly about exactly what the show looks like going forward. But it looks very different.”
So, expect some big plot changes in the upcoming season, as Nolan is trying to make each season different from the previous one.
