Call Of Duty Black Ops: Cold War Will Have Many Different Endings: Dan Vondrak
Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War was recently revealed by Activision and many details on the game are out which is public and has hyped up the game greatly. The campaign of the game has a solid story which is during the Cold War era. Many characters from the Black Ops franchise are in this game as well. With the addition of the character customize and different branching paths because of these things, this year’s Call of Duty will be very different. But there is more revealed about the game by non-other than Raven Software’s Dan Vondrak who revealed that the game will have multiple endings.
This was announced during the Gamescom Opening Night Live show. He also said that the team had an idea for multiple endings at the start of development. Vondrak also said that deciding there would be many endings might lead to some issues because of which they got the help of Batman movie writer David Goyer, who once worked on the original Black Ops. This game is said to pay homage to the first game and it’s a sequel too which was Black Ops 2 that had multiple endings as well.
Vondrak said “When we started creating the story, we had multiple endings in mind right away. And that really helped. I think if you try to add those later, or if they just don’t fit the story you’re telling, then you shouldn’t add them. But we knew right away that we wanted to do that. I absolutely loved the idea that we could pay a little bit of homage to Black Ops 2 by having these. He also said that some stories work well with multiple endings and some of them aren’t but this one was made from the ground up with that in mind. Down below you can see the interview of Vondrak in which he explains all of this.
This pretty good thing that multiple endings are coming to the campaign once again. These are the things that every Call of Duty fan of the campaign mode wishes for. Furthermore, the multiplayer part of the map hasn’t even been revealed but the hype for the game is through the roof. For those who don’t know the multiplayer reveal will be happening on 9 September. The month that is releasing on is a very busy one and it will be going head to head with Cyberpunk 2077 which is a game that is awaited by the whole gaming community.
