Will Yuuji’s quest for Ethos magic go smoothly, or will he encounter new foes? Tensei Kenja no Isekai Raifu Chapter 55 “I Was Supposed To Take The Entrance Exam”: Recap
On his quest to find the headquarters of the evil organization called The Lab. Yuuji has to enter a forbidden library of the Royal Academy to find the only clue called “Ethos magic,” a magic book that will take him there. To do that, Yuuji has decided to enroll in the academy, and so he has to give the entrance exam. The academy offers only two courses, namely magic type and fighter type.
Yuuji thinks that as he mostly uses magic, then he’ll go for the magic type when he gets called by the receptionist. She tells him that his course is fighter-type and shows him the way to get to his area. Yuuji gets confused as he hasn’t even chosen a course yet, and somehow, he still ended up in the fighter type. He asks the receptionist if he can choose a magic type, but she tells him that Tamers can’t use magic, so they are put in fighter type.
Yuuji inquires if there will be any difference in the exams as he’s now in the fighter-type course, but the receptionist declines. He realizes that the academy doesn’t know the techniques of tamers, so he uses his ultimate martial arts skill.
Seeing Yuuji confused, the receptionist gets anxious and asks him if she has done some mistake, but Yuuji tells her that he’s fine. He believes that it would be difficult for him to conceal his identity if he revealed his magical powers now. He also looks at his other abilities, including strengthening, which he could use if things get messy.
Yuuji then goes forward and meets up with other fighter-type course people. All the people there are built insanely muscular and look pretty strong, and they ask Yuuji if he’s also going to give the exam. One of those people walks up to Yuuji and puts his hand on his head, saying that someone like him could never pass the exam.
They tell Yuuji that he’ll be easily defeated by the examiner, and they question his adventurer skills as he lacks any weapon too. Yuuji believes that he needs a sword, and so he uses his summoning skills, which shocks everyone as they look at his summoned sword in awe. Yuuji isn’t surprised as this isn’t the first time he has gotten this reaction to his summoning spell.
The Examiner arrives and introduces himself as Garde. He asks everyone to follow him to the arena, but everyone gets scared just by looking at her. Yuuji also recognizes the change in expression of everyone and realizes that the examiner must be strong.
They arrive at the arena, and Garde asks everyone to attack him one by one with everything they’ve got. He defeats his first opponent without even moving, but then a giant-like person walks into the arena while wishing Garde. He identifies himself as someone who got rejected by Garde last year, but he won’t let history repeat itself.
