There have however been multiple teasers in the game that indicate a possibility of this. This includes the ending of his song “Highest in the Room” that can be heard playing quietly in certain areas of the map. There has also been word of a stage being built. Reliable miner HYPEX shared an image of a stag being constructed on one of the small islands between Sweaty Sands and The Shark.

With no official announcement, fans are waiting eagerly for any possible update!

What Themes Can We Expect?

With Season 3 coming up, everyone is wondering about the theme o the new season and how it may vary from the previous themes. As of now, there is not much news on the release of the third season so almost everything is based on speculation, however, here is what we know so far and what we expect.

In Chapter 2, Season 1 was all about the alter egos as all of the battle pass skins came with alternate variants that the player had to unlock through the course of the game.

Season 2, the ongoing season theme is Ghost versus Shadow. But, the notion of all the battle pass skins having different variations is still present.

And so, we can expect the same moving forward as it seems like Epic Games quite likes the idea of having different skin variations.

It appears that even with the extension of season 2, till June 4th, Season 3 is being teased in-game at Lazy Lake. They focus on sharks and water content and seemingly reference season 3 directly! Could an underwater theme be coming up next?

Season 2 Delay

The delay of Chapter 2, Season 2 from its end date on April 30th to June 4th comes as no surprise to fans as Epic Games has done this before as well. Chapter 2, Season 1 was similarly delayed by several weeks from its original end date in December 2019 to February 2020. During this extension, the developers added multiple events in the game such as a Star Wars Episode IX preview and a Harley Quinn Crossover event.

The extension of Season 2 simply means that one has longer to complete their weekly challenges!
