NRIs have different dimensions of struggles, many of which we might never have encountered. The new season of Metro Park is glimpsing us with all the efforts and ways of living of the Indians abroad. We imagine the lives of the NRIs as easy, and many of us may have dreamt of life like that, but everything is not as easy as it seems. The Metro Park is also a series similar to what we have mentioned above; it shows us the way of living of Indians over there and how they try to blend with Indian culture. it is a family story of a Patel family residing in the USA.
Metro Park is a popular area located in New Jersey, USA. This region is famous due to the immense number of Indian-origin people living there; specifically, more Gujarati people are living in this area. The second season of the Metro Park was released on January 29 on Eros Now.
Metro Park Season 2 – Patel’s in Metro Park
The cast of the show includes Ranvir Shorey (Kalpesh Patel), Purbi Joshi( Payal Patel), Omi Vaidya (Kanan), and Vega Tamotia (Kinjal). The main lead actor of this Sitcom, Ranvir Shorey, plays the role of Kalpesh Patel. Kalpesh Patel, a desi Gujarati businessman, runs a convenience store named Pay & Run. At the same time, his Wife, Payal, is shown as a homemaker and indicates that she is pursuing her passion. Payal runs a beauty salon along with her new interest in vlogging.
With the story of the mainstream Patel family, we are also introduced to the family of Payal’s sister, Kinjal. Kinjal and her husband have become parents to a baby boy, Kian. The first half of the season becomes boring when we are exposed again and again to the daily routine of both families.
Metro Park Season 2 – Entertaining One-Time Watch Sitcom
Though you may end up watching the series at some point, Ranvir will steal your attention and keep you worth of going on with the series. His work was commendable in this series, and every actor has performed well in the series. These four characters are continued from the first season, while in the second season of Metro Park, we are introduced to 3 new characters, which are played by Sarita Joshi, Milind Soman, and Gopal Dutt. Sarita plays the role of Payal, but her visa application gets rejected, and they are shown from India itself. Millind and Gopal, in this series, have supporting roles; Millind plays the role of Payal’s childhood friend, while Gopal plays the role of a therapist who becomes a good friend of the Patels in the USA. Milind’s bonding with Kalpesh’s wife is also portrayed as a sense of insecurity in Kalpesh, which was never expected before this point in the entire series.
The series is a light, entertaining family drama that is worth watching. You would love to watch it with your entire family. The series makers have tried to compare the differences in the way of living in India and abroad. We are also exposed to various hurdles and problems that we never encounter in our country; though living abroad for a living, they will always be Indian through the heart. That’s shown in the first season and in the all-new season 2 of the Metro Park.
Metro Park season 2 is now streaming on Eros Now, though not so popular, and doesn’t have a surplus of great shows to offer on its platforms among its peers. It has some shows that are worth watching; one such is what we are discussing right now. The series has 12 episodes, which range between 22-25 minutes each, so if you plan to complete watching the entire series in one go, you can indeed wrap up within 4-5 hours. Since the pandemic has set some restrictions on staying indoors, we have brought great content online, which is a perfect thing we have.
