We should keep in mind that back then, a lot of promising students were in the academy. And from where Naruto stood at the time, it looked like things would be very difficult for him. We have witnessed several interesting fights. Neji was the most promising Hyuga at the time, and being riddled by this belief in a fixed fate no matter what individuals do.
He ended up facing Naruto, who seemed to have no chance of winning. For Naruto enthusiasts who wish to go back and rewatch those moments. Naruto and Neji’s Relationship
Naruto and Neji’s relationship begins as that of a classmate until they fight during the Chunin Exam. Despite their duel change the way of their thinking since Neji ends up realizing something important about the clan that he learned from Naruto. Thus begin Neji and Naruto’s greatest relations, and they become best friends even though Naruto ends up as Neji’s brother-in-law after marrying Neji’s sister Hinata.
