What is the Movie About?

Based on Anna Todd’s After series, the movie series is adapts its characters on to the screen. Tessa has it all but just as she’s ready to start her freshman year at college, her life is turned upside down. She’s not as open and ready to be emotionally vulnerable with someone, not even her boyfriend Noah. Enter the mysterious and brooding Hardin Scott. And as one can expect, the dreamy boy is not ready for a relationship. Yet the two end up meeting each over several encounters and can’t deny that there’s something there. What follows is a predictable lovelorn chase between the two, growing out of a fickle bet as per which Hardin origianlly only saw Tessa as a challenge but ultimately couldn’t help but fall for her.

After 4

Josephine Langford (Tessa), author Anna Todd and Hero Fiennes Tiffin (Hardin) sharing a moment behind the scenes of the movie.

After We Fell ended on a very tumultous note for the two protagonists. Therefore the upcoming sequel is going test their relationship further to the limits. One can say that this would be their ultimate test against time which would decide the terms of their future. A lot of drama entails as Tessa’s abusive father also gets roped into the story but eventually she moves away to Seattle to pursue her dream job in a publishing house.

The trailer itself has Tessa voicing out her concerns regarding their situation, “We’re just a bomb waiting to explode”, and that pretty much sums up everything. Hardin is likely to suffer the most, especially since a huge revelation about his biological father has befallen him. This is their last test and its outcome will decide where their relationship stands.

After 4 Release Date

A spin-off prequel and epilogue series of the movie are also in the works. It’s too early to say anything right now but the “final chapter” surely isn’t the end of it all. There’s still more to come.
