More About The Upcoming Saudi Version Of Global ‘Idol’ Talent Show
On 24 September 2022, the MBC Group and Saudi Arabia’s GEA announced their partnership for their new project, Saudi Idol.
The filming of this singing reality show is scheduled to start in October and is likely to premiere by the end of this year. To be more precise, December it is. The GEA’s chairman, Turki Al-Sheikh, made it to his Twitter account, saying, “I’m happy to announce a new partnership between GEA and MBC Group to launch Saudi Idol… The program begins in December 2022.”
Talking about the four judges are – Saudi singer Aseel Abu Bakr, Saudi-Iraqi singer and composer, Majed Al Mohandis, Emirati singer and actress Ahlam, and Syrian singer, Asala. They are set to seek the best Saudi Idol, hunting for the local talent.
Another great news! MBC has also announced for interested people to start registering themselves for the singing reality show. The Twitter post says, “You have a beautiful voice, and would you like to sing? Do you like competition and entering the world of limelight and fame? Participate in the largest singing program. Don’t miss the chance, register now.”
The upcoming Saudi Idol show is set to get broadcasted on MBC 1. However, the exact release date is not yet revealed but it is expected to make its announcement real soon.
