Previously in the manhwa, Ernel and Llewelyn meet together, and Ernel ends up healing the wounds on Llewelyn’s hands. The chapter gave us a lot of insight into Ernel’s feelings about Llewelyn and the reason why he is helping her in the first place. Ernel might look calm and kind on the exterior but even has quite a convoluted personality in reality. Ernel realizes that Llewelyn’s unusually cheerful and upbeat personality is quite unexpected.

Ernel talks about the person who put the curse on Llewelyn and told her that summoning a dark spirit and branding her is not something an ordinary witch can do. Llewelyn is shocked to hear that and instantly remembers the faint smell of blood when she is on the altar. After hearing Ernel’s words, Llewelyn concludes that someone wanted to make her fall prey to lust instead of putting a curse for misfortune or illness on her. 

Ernel tells Llewelyn that there are ways to lift the curse from her. He tells her that one way is to sacrifice more than the person who has cursed her during the rite or kill the person who put the curse on her in the first place. Llewelyn thinks about it, but killing the person who cursed her is impossible since she isn’t aware of who had cursed her in the first place. Llewelyn tells him that she had initially suspected the Queen of cursing her, but it is improbable for the Queen to actually go through with it since it would affect the Kingdom’s image, especially when Llewelyn’s mother was suspected of black magic. Ernel implies that Armandite can also be the culprit, but Llewelyn refuses that as well. The next day, Llewelyn goes to visit her brother, who keeps on drunkenly rambling and says something implication.
