After hearing mao Mao’s explanation, this palace lady has already revealed more than enough, she even mentioned some useless information if anything, and this was so irritating. A faint image, a yet strong presence, she could be one of the young girls surrounding the figure in the middle, but then again, she might not even be in the painting.
In the end, she was no more to him than a simple passerby. The only reason she was made to be the empress was because of the scar that exists there. Just a little who was accidentally impregnated by the emperor is what some people who sympathized with her said, and it was the truth.
Her father was a civil official, and her mother a mistress, she who had her first period earlier than most girls, and who has always looked young for her age, was seen by her fathers as nothing more than a convenient tool.
Kusuriya no Hitorigoto Chapter 59 Recap
Later in the story, she enters the inner palace, as a made to one of the middle consort, her older sister from a different mother. Her sister spent all her time pinning away, hoping his majesty would come to her, without ever knowing about her father’s true plan.
Her chance arrived unexpectedly fast when the dissatisfied emperor arrived under the guidance of Eunuchs. Still, her sister, who was raised pampered, did not realize his dissatisfaction and tried to touch him, only to be sent to the floor right after.
She couldn’t believe that the man in front of her, whose body was trembling in a fear of collapsed middle consort, was someone who stood at the very top of this country. As a maid, she had to either comfort the consort or apologize to the emperor for what had provoked him. But this is not gonna be easy as the emperor’s gaze was absolutely captivated by this ambitious ten-year-old girl.
After that, more and more young girls like her entered the inner palace, the inner palace grew swiftly as a result, and three new sections were soon added. The segment constructed when the Late Emperor ascended to the throne became the Southern Quarter. Her life was threatened many times during that time.
It was a good fortune that her child ended up being a boy and that his grandmother, the empress regnant, had acknowledged it. One of the ladies gave birth to a daughter not long before her, but the Late Emperor refused to acknowledge it, which led to the banishment of the child, as well as the medical officer thought to have been his father.
The medical officer did not have to be captivated in order to work the inner palace, but that was no longer the case after that incident. The one who operated on her belly was castrated for that very reason, and it is really unfortunate.
After time passed and she had outgrown her childhood appearance, visits from the Late Emperor stopped. He was nothing more than the Empress regnant’s puppet, a. joke of a man, only capable of talking to little girls. It was unbearable to be forgotten by the likes of that.
There were some who suspected her second child to have been illegitimate, but that couldn’t have been further from the truth. She dragged him to bed, and showed him the scar on her belly, while whispering a curse in his ear, as he trembled in fear, begging for forgiveness.
Even so this much was nothing compared to all the wounds he had inflicted on those little girls throughout the years. She did it in order to make him remember her, more so than his august mother, the Empress Regnant.
After that incident, his heart broke and he confined himself to his building, she didn’t even feel like pursuing who was to blame, but in the end, based on what he did in the room, she supposed he was only thinking about his mother, the Empress Regnant, and the girls who wouldn’t challenge him, and thinks that what kind of painting would that have been.
He painted her just once, the figure of him working with the brush while telling her to keep it a secret was really serene. She cherished that painting but later told her maid to throw it away. She had no more need for the Late Emperor, just as he no longer had any more need for her.
After she realized this child could be in danger, she acted quickly and decisively. Let people say he was illegitimate or a changeling, her love for his kid was real. The Empress Regnant followed right behind him and took him away after comforting her beloved son, that was when she picked it up, she has given to understand that it is called Orpimet.
It is the order she gave her a long time ago; if he ever played too much with one thing, take it away from him. She avoided his graze every time he looked up at her to try and judge her mood, never realizing just how cruel she was being, perhaps that was what caused him to grow up so fast, while still having the heart of the child.
I seem to remember seeing one of his paintings once, it depicted a young woman, who was painted in delicate colors, maybe the reason she picked up the stone was that its color made her remember that painting. even though she ordered her to throw that away, she has always liked wearing yellow.
Her family produced a great deal of turmeric, so the clothes she wore therefore also included a lot of yellow, she simply never stopped wearing them. The question that arises here is, is this the woman in the painting really the Empress Regnant? well, this is unsolved, and no one will ever be able to find out, either, so she chose to not even ask the question.
A new palace lady recently arrived at the Jade Palace, Infa and the others seem to have already been acquainted with the three new worriers, but she still doesn’t know who is who. Infa is being noisy, but that is because she cares about her, she probably hopes that she starts getting along with the newcomers sooner rather than later, and Infa is being thoughtful in a way.
They were telling ghost stories in order of their seat placement, after someone is done with their story, they put out their light and throw it in the brazier, that is basically all thof this works. The stories themselves, amount to little more than various inner palace rumors, which hardly make your blood run cold.
