10 Most Powerful Characters From Guardians of the Galaxy Universe In MCU

Guardians of the Galaxy

We have first introduced to the Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014 since then its characters are some of my favourites and loved around the globe. Guardians are like the space avengers and most of the time they patrol around the universe. In this article, I am gonna rank all these characters who have featured in the MCU and will not be talking about the comics at all. I will compare them with their skills and how crucial they are part of the team.

All characters from Guardians of the Galaxy in the MCU ranked:

1. Ego the Living Planet

Kurt Russell as Ego

Ego made his debut in MCU from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) and was reimagined as a Celestial and the father of Star-Lord. He ranks as the strongest in my list as he is an agile and god-tier supervillain. There are some rumours that he will back in the near future. He doesn’t make an impact as the big bad in the guardians in the MCU but he is just an overkill He made his comic book debut in thor comics and now after so many tears made his big-screen debut.

2. Captain Marvel

Brie Larson as Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel

when we got in the middle of MCU, Marvel was teasing and hinting that Captain Marvel will make her debut in the Universe. In 2019 we were treated with a solo film starring Brie Larson as the titular superhero. She has done a good job and it’s not easy to perform while doing the role of a superhero of such calibre. Cap Marvel made her comic book debut in Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014 and is a prominent member in the team. She is equally powerful to the god of thunder (Thor). Her powers and skills include Superhuman strength, speed, endurance, and stamina.

3. Adam Warlock

Adam Warlock

Adam Warlock has not made a full-fledged debut in the MCU but his name was dropped in the post-credit sequence of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Yes, he was a solid character in the Infinity War storyline but the writers and directors in the MCU made a decision not to include him in the Infinity War Saga films. In comics, he is equally powerful to the Big Blue Bad Thanos and plays a major role in defeating him with the help of avengers. Some of his powers include Superhuman strength, speed, agility, and durability. He can easily defeat any other villains and other threats from the universe.

4. Groot

I am Groot! yeah, we all got this phrase stuck in our mind when we first saw him the first instalment of the Guardians of the Galaxy. He is very powerful as we all have seen his strength in the Infinity War where he lifts up the Stormbreaker, which was later used by Thor as a weapon and defeated Thanos. Groot has a complicated origin the Marvel Comics as he was a villain who came to Earth with the intent of capturing humans to experiment on them. Thanks to the voice acting and made this character a household name.

5. Gamora

Zoe Saldana as Gamora

Gamarra is the adoptive daughter of the mad titan Thanos and when we first got to see her, she joined the guardians only to steal the orb. Her character goes from a kind of side role to a major role in the team. She and her sister Nebula are both arch-nemesis of each other but we have seen them all together fighting against in various comics and the main cannon in the MCU. Her powers include superhuman strength and agility and fast healing factor. She also has top-level combat skills, being able to beat most of the opponents in the galaxy.

6. Drax

Dave Bautista as Drax

Drax has been the comics world from a long time and mage his debut in The Invincible Iron Man #55, before joining the team. Dave Bautista stars as Drax The Destroyer and we first to get know about this character in jail. The origin of Drax is very tragic he was a human named Arthur Douglas who was killed alongside his family by Thanos. His spirit was resurrected by Kronos into the body of Drax to become a being powerful enough to take out Thanos.IN this new form, he is one of the deadliest characters in the whole MCU.

7. Star-Lord

Chris Pratt as Star-Lord

Star-Lord has more powerful origin in the MCU than his comic book counterpart as a son of Ego which makes him a half god-like character in terms of superpower. Chris Pratt portrays the superhero on the big screen and is also a leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy. The character is known for his humour and comedic chops in the film universe. He travels with his crew around the world and fights the evil. He has powers that make him kill Ego and capture an orb. He demonstrated the strength that was never seen in the comics.

8. Nebula

Karen Gillan as Nebula

Nebula got her comic book debut in The Avengers #257 (July 1985) and since then there are various comics in which she has been a prominent character. She is also a daughter of Thanos and is a deadly assassin working for him. Karen Gillan is playing her in the MCU and since our meeting her, she has gone through some drastic changes like from a spy working for Thanos to a full-time member of the team. She had various fights with his sister Gamora in the past but now they work together and are an essential part of the team.

9. Yondu

Yondu from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Yondu is basically the godfather of Star-Lord in the MCU and is known for his deadly weapon Yaka arrow which can kill dozen of enemies just by the sound of his whistle. The film version is very different from the comic book version of Yondu. He is intelligent, swift , agile and don’t forget the Yaka arrow these qualities and weapon made him one of the deadliest characters in the MCU. Michael Rooker plays Yondu on the big screen and was a very well-received character.

10. Rocket Raccoon

Rocket Raccoon in Avengers Endgame

The funniest character from the team is Rocket. He is voiced by Bradley Cooper and Sean Gunn does the motion capture part in the MCU. He is known for his skills on the field like tactics, tech and very good marksmen, He is an anamorphic raccoon who is an integral part of the team
