Dog (2022) is based on a story written by Carolin and Brett Rodriguez. The direction of the movie was given by Channing Tatum and Reid Carolin. Both of them make their directorial debut in this movie. Channing Tatum and Carolin were also the producers of the movie. The movie is based on a real story, a real road trip that happened when Channing Tatum’s dog was diagnosed with cancer, and he decided to spend the rest of her time giving memories to her. The dog was named Lulu; she was a pit bull mix and was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. Lulu died on December 19, 2018, and the movie is directly dedicated to her memory. Tatum also played the leading role in the film, and he has been praised for both direction and acting simultaneously.

The plot of the movie revolves around a US Army Ranger, Jackson Briggs, who was suffering from PTSD, and a military dog, Lulu, a Belgian Malinois, who has a history of aggressive behavior. The dog belonged to his friend and former partner, Riley Rodriguez, who died in a car accident the night before he was called. Now, the story revolves around a road trip that happened between our ranger and the dog. Both of them became partners by fate, and both of them have anger issues and a series of traumas.
