Saint Maud is a British horror movie. The movie is pretty scary and the critics have rated it well. In this post, I’ll be discussing Saint Maud release date and all the other details you’ll need to know before watching the movie. Saint Maud movie has already had its world premiere back in September 2019. But the official release in the United States of America and the United Kingdom is still yet to happen. Its world premiere was in Toronto at Toronto International Film Festival. After that A24 gained the distribution rights in the United States of America and Studio Canal in the United Kingdom. The film was also showcased in London during which Wash Westmoreland said that ‘This dazzling directorial debut marks the emergence of a powerful new voice in British cinema.’ It was indeed some huge praise regarding the movie makers. Saint Maud movie release date is 01 May 2020 in the United Kingdom and 10 April 2020 in the United States of America. The fans are excited to witness this much-awaited horror movie.

The story of the movie is about a pious nurse who becomes obsessed with saving the soul of her dying patient. This nurse is Maud and is played by Morfydd Clark. She has recently converted to Roman Catholicism. She fears that she has been possessed by her patient. This patient of hers is a dancer known as Amanda, this character is portrayed by Jennifer Ehle.

This movie has a great story is pretty damn scary as its genre is horror what else can we expect. The critics have described the movie as an unsettling and intriguing movie which is a compliment to a horror movie. The movie is said to be affecting, striking and even a bit funny at some moments. The movie has been compared to other great movies like Carrie, The Exorcist and Jonathan Glazer’s Under the Skin in terms of the overall vibe of the movie. The director Rose Glass whose making a debut has been also getting a lot of praise for the work. Talking about ratings, Rotten Tomatoes has given it a rating of 7.87/10, on Metacritic the movie has received a rating of 76/100 and most importantly on IMDb the movie is rated 7/10.
