Here she meets Janis and Damian, who tells her about the queen bees of the school, The plastics. The plastics included Regina George- the manipulative and frightening group leader who was beautiful as well, Gretchen Weiners, whose father was the inventor of the toaster strudel, and so she was rich but insecure as well, and Karen Smith- the pretty and sweet but dumb member of the group. The plastics followed a set of rules that they followed, and if broken by any member of the group, they weren’t allowed to sit with the group during lunch. Janis asks Cady to help her in taking revenge on the plastics by pretending to be one of them. Cady agrees and gets on with the plan, but eventually, she starts to adopt some of The Plastics’ traits. This causes her friendship with Janis and Damian to break, and her crush Aaron leaving her. She later fixes everything by getting back to normal and gets together with Aaron at the end. She also gets her friends back.
