Later at the Virtual Crunchyroll Expo meant for 2020, the Kadokawa producer has confirmed that the wait for a third installment will not belong to all the fans.

Also, it is known that Crunchyroll is directly involved in the set of this anime in one of the producers. Well, the most significant factor in the success of a TV animated show is its streaming revenue.

Even in the past, we have witnessed that a production company would be more than happy to greenlit a sequel if the DVD, as well as Blu-ray sales, have performed well in Japan. According to the latest update from Kadokawa and Crunchyroll and Kinema Citrus or any company related to anime production, it has not officially confirmed The Rising Of The Shield Hero season 3 release date. The production was confirmed a long time ago, but the time frame for the show’s Japanese premiere is not yet known to anyone.
Given that The Rising Of The Shield Hero season 3 started producing the show almost as early as the second installment, Kadokawa producer Junichiro Tamura promises all the audience that it will not be long before we witness a new outing on their screens. If we go and speculate about it, the second installment might release sometime in early 2021. This implies that the season 3 release date would be set for late 2021 or maybe even early 2022.
