Also, Jefferson is still refusing to be Black Lightning, even after seeing Freeland in chaos and ignoring Jennifer’s and Anissa’s training.

Moreover, Lynn tells Jefferson about injecting herself with meta-human DNA to protect the city. She even manages to stop Jennifer from getting shot. She flies away after seeing Jennifer getting hurt. However, after she leaves, Jennifer heals herself and her costume while she is in the air.

With all the disarray in the city and his life, Jefferson finds it hard to maintain the family dynamic. This is especially worrisome when Jennifer continues to spend her powers carelessly, even in the middle of deciding whether to pursue higher education or not.

By the end of the episode, she falls from the sky with a very elated look, making the viewers wonder whether she is becoming addicted to her powers or not.

Moreover, Lynn and Jefferson’s relationship is gradually declining, becoming even worse with their lack of communication. They’re not talking about their problems at all.
