How many of you have been waiting for Anime Expo 2020? Almost every other anime fan was excited about this year’s Anime Expo. However, things didn’t end in our favor. Due to the health concerns of those attending the event, the Anime Expo of this year is going to get canceled.

Originally, the Anime Expo convention for this year was scheduled for July 2-5 this year. However, due to the current COVID-19 situation, it might affect everyone differently. So the staff came up with the decision to postpone it to 2021.

This is the first time Anime Expo ever got canceled in the past 29 years. They added We know you all have been working hard for the preparations of Anime Expo 2020; we share your sadness. Please look forward to the 30th anniversary of the Anime Expo! The message ends with:

“We look forward to seeing you in Anime Expo 2021.”

Earlier it was announced by the staff of CC that San Diego Comic-Con for 2020 had been canceled due to this ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

As per our predictions, the Olympics might get postponed as well, until a vaccine or pharmaceutical intervention is available. Anime Expo is usually a stage for huge companies like Bandai Namco, Aksys Games, etc. to make announcements for their new projects, titles, and games.

When will the Anime Expo return?

Well, the staff have already answered this. The Anime Expo will return on its 30th anniversary to the Los Angeles Convention Center in 2021 from July 2 to 5.
