This production is so big because Disney Pixar managed to get Larry the Cable Guy and Owen Wilson to reprise their roles in the voice casts for Mater and Lightning McQueen. Also, Cheech Marin, Lloyd Sherr, Quinta Brunson, and Bonnie Hunt are joining the voice cast.

Who Produces Cars On The Road?

Marc Sondheimer produces cars on the Road, and he’s the man that reared projects like “Coco” and “The Good Dinosaur”. In the director’s chair, we have shared duties between Bobby Podesta (he did “Soul”), Brian Fee (he directed Cars 3), and Steve Purcell (he worked in Brave). As for the music and score, Jake Monaco will be in charge. Jake did work for “Scooby-Doo!” and “Be Cool”.

The trailer begins with Lightning and Mater racing in the desert. After that, they’re heading to the road for Mater’s sisters’ wedding. Then, the trailer shows us multiple 1-second cutscenes of the many antagonists that our two motorized heroes will face along their way in their journey across America’s roads: Dinosaurs, ghosts, circus freaks, and other cars willing to get in their way and stop them from getting to the wedding on time!

Later in the trailer, we meet a monster truck ally that Mater and Lightning get acquainted with along the way. As the trailer progresses, we see that Mater and Lightning will have to find their way out of some demolition derby that gives some Mad Max Fury Road vibes out in the desert, running at full speed as they’re being chased by ghost cars and some sort of car-like dinosaur. The trailer concludes with the movie logo.

Cars On The Road will be a Disney+ exclusive. As such, the only place to stream this upcoming Owen Wilson and Larry The Cable guy animated motor series is the OTT streaming platform Disney+, which you can get either alone or bundle it with ESPN+ and Hulu + Live TV.
