Ryan Giggs Quits As Wales Football Manager

Ryan Giggs announced he would step down immediately as the Wales manager. Furthermore, he’s been on leave from his post since November 2020 and currently faces a domestic violence charge in Manchester. The charge, filed by his former girlfriend Kate Greville, claims that the former ManUtd player caused her bodily harm. Also, this comes with the common assault of her sister, Emma Greville, at his home in Worsley back in November 2020.

Wales And The World Cup

Ryan Giggs says he’s innocent and pleaded not guilty to all charges. Now, Robert Page will lead the Wales squad to their first World Cup in 64 years in Gigg’s absence. We understand that Ryan Giggs didn’t want his current legal status to be a distraction for wales to prepare for their first World Cup since 1958.

Wales entered the FIFA World Cup in Qatar after Real Madrid player Gareth Bale took a free-kick, and Ukraine’s Andriy Yarmolenko scored their own goal. As for Wales Football Association, they accepted Giggs’ resignation and sent their thanks for his tenure as manager. But they didn’t comment on his appearance before the court. Remember, Giggs is presumed innocent. He will have to prove his innocence, and if he’s found guilty, he will pay for the consequences. For now, that’s all the time we have for this footballer. Thanks for your attention and see you soon.
