Release Date And Update For “After We Fell”
Even though the first trailer is out in the open, the release date still remains in the dark. But not for too long. Although an exact date is yet to be revealed, the director of “After We Fell”, Castille Landon has confirmed that the movie will be coming anywhere in 2021, one way or another. If that wasn’t enough, there is another sequel titled “After Ever Happy” coming to conclude the movie. In fact, they both have been shot together. So, we might be getting two movies back-to-back in a row.
Hero and Josephine updated fans with a post on Instagram that both movies have officially wrapped up the shoot on December 18, 2020. They have promised that the movie will give all the fills and chills. On the other hand, the cast has worked really hard on both the movies back to back. Especially after the world-wide shutdown due to Covid-19 Pandemic. So they are coming all out for the fans.
The Cast Returning
Well, of course, our two leads are returning with Josephine Langford as Tessa Young and Hero Fiennes Tiffin as Hardwin Scott. On the other hand, some new faces will be joining the team. Especially after the pandemic which has led some of the cast to leave the project. Chance Perdomo, known for his time on Netflix’s “Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina” will be joining the cast in the role of Landon Gibson. Originally it was played by Shane Paul Mcghie in the previous two films.
Stephen Moyer from True Blood will be replacing Charlie Weber as Christian Vance while Mira Sorvino (Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion) is replacing Selma Blair as Carol Young. The other additional cast includes Arielle Kebbel replacing Candice King (The Vampire Diaries) as Kimberly and Carter Jenkins in the role of Robert. Frances Turner is another recast replacing Karimah Westbrook as Karen Scott. Lastly, a new addition will be seen to the “After” series. Kiana Maderia will be playing the role of Nora, a character we are yet to meet.
After We Fell – Expected Plot
So, much like all the previous “After” movies, “After We Fell” will also be based on the third book of the series with the same name. According to the summary of the book, Tessa is about to make the biggest decision of her life. But at the most important moment, everything starts changing and falling apart. There are revelations about her family and then Hardin’s too. These revelations throw everything they had before in doubt. Now, their hard-won future has become more difficult to claim.
Everything from family to friends, nothing is what Tessa thought she was. At the end of the day, there is only one person she can’t rely on. That is Hardwin. But upon discovering that Tessa is keeping a massive secret from him, rather than being understanding Hardwin goes furious at her.
Tessa acknowledges the love Hardwin has for her. But, at the end of the day, loving someone and being able to have them in your life are two different things. This cycle of jealousy, anger, and forgiveness has become exhaustible for them. Tessa has never been so intense with anyone or been happy with anyone’s kiss but this whole drama with Hardwin questions her if it is worth it. Now, if Tessa follows her heart, the question will be if the road for both of them together ending now? We will have to look at the film for that.
At the end of the day, “After We Fell” surely looks promising especially for the fans of the book. For the past two movies, despite the average score, the movie works well with the audience. Especially from the performances of the promising leads. The movie is directed by Castille Landon with a Screenplay written by Sharon Soboil. They both will be working together on the sequel to “After We Fell” too. Anyway, we will keep you updated more on After We Fell’s release date until then stay tuned to Otakukart.
