“Returnal” will be taking full advantage of PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller and Tempest Engine. So, it will support the 3D special audio and the new haptic feedback. What is the game about?
The game is a third-person shooting game, but the psychological horror element makes it interesting. The video game also features some roguelike segments. It is set in a futuristic science fiction world where the player will control Selene, a space pilot. Selene is loaded with a suit and armed with some really high-tech weapons. She is stuck in a time loop, stranded alone on an alien planet. The game follows a motif of wandering across an unknown environment as Selene combats against some extraterrestrial entities with growing apparitions in an ever-changing world. To escape from this alienated planet, the player will have to locate the historic civilization. However, there is a twist that is quite shocking and unexpected. With every new cycle, the planet will keep changing.
As the player changes the loop, they will have to choose a new plan to combat, and there will be new fusions in each loop. Apart from all this, there is another unique trait about this game i.e., the looks of the player will change with every death. When is “Returnal” going to release?
“Returnal” is going to release on 30th April 2021. The creators had initially scheduled its release earlier i.e., on 19th March 2021. However, later on, in January 2021, they announced that they have pushed the release date for the game back by a month. It will be exclusively released on only a single platform i.e. PlayStation 5.
