What is the premise of A Small Light?

The story of Miep Gies, a 20-year-old Dutch secretary, is told in A Small Light. In 1942, Otto, Anne’s dad, urged Miep to take refuge with him and his loved ones from the Nazis while they moved Jews to concentration camps.

Without thinking twice, Miep took care of the eight people crammed into the small annex rooms above Otto’s Amsterdam office building, along with a few of his other staff members.

Miep discovered Anne’s journal and kept it secure for her when their households were betrayed and found by the Nazis in early August 1944, following 25 months of concealment. When Miep found out that Anne had perished during the Holocaust, she handed Otto, who had been freed from Auschwitz, the papers.

After that, the diary was made public all across the world. The first look image from A Small Ligh depicts Miep as well as Jan Gies, the van Pels family, the Frank family, and Fritz Pfeffer in an episode from the show where they assemble to commemorate the Jewish Celebration of Lights while concealed in the secret annex.
