Regional Pokemon have been in the game since the beginning. Many trainers have mixed feelings about these exclusive Pokemon. However, they are enjoyable for collectors who travel. When trading comes out. They will even hold a value over several other Pokemon in the game such as legendaries.
Generation 2 didn’t have very many regional exclusive Pokemon. For many trainers, it was a shock considering Niantic seemed to have loved the 4 from Kanto. Even after trainers tried to get the regional Pokemon available for all trainers around the world. Niantic still kept them inside the game.
While generation 3 Pokemon still have yet to be introduced. It is believed we have finally reached the final wave of generation 3 Pokemon. The rest to be released are still being worked on and will be similar to how Ditto was released. Fairly late in the game after it’s original regional was released.
Each wave of Hoenn Pokemon that have introduced the game each held at least 1 regional exclusive Pokemon. Meaning this generation has had more regional Pokemon than previous ones. While a few of these rare Pokemon are only exclusive to half the world. We have seen something new with them, the regional swap.

Assuming that with the generation 3 spawn event. We can now catch one of these world regional Pokemon. For some, you will be able to find the new Pokemon Plusle hanging around it’s best pal Minun. Others will see Minun giving Plusle a helping hand as the event takes place.
Again, this is assumed to only be for the duration of the event. Meaning you only have 4 more days to catch whichever one is exclusive to you. The event will more than likely end at 1 PM PST. Which really doesn’t give a whole lot of time. Though, on the bright side. They seem to be decently common for the event!
Pokemon With Increased Spawns During Valentine’s Event
Last year, it was a challenge to figure out what Niantic had in mind for Valentine’s day or if they would even host an event for the widely known Holiday. However, with short notice, Niantic gave us increased spawns for Pokemon that were pink.
Chansey, of course, being the rarest and most hunted Pokemon. We were also seeing more pink Pokemon hatching from eggs meaning hatching a Chansey from a 10km egg was decently common during the event. Chansey’s are still extremely hard to get, however, the recommended Pokemon to focus on catching during this event, isn’t a Chansey.
If you happen to get lucky and find one, go ahead and catch it, however, with generation 3 Pokemon being released just in time. There is another Pokemon to focus on catching that will help several trainers level up even faster. We will get to the list of Pokemon that will have increased spawns for the year 2018 in just a moment.
It’s not too certain why, but Whismur only takes 12 candies to evolve. This is really good because that adds another Pokemon to the mass evolution chain. Though, that isn’t the only Pokemon that was recently added to take 12 candies per first evolution. While it looks pink, it’s actually red. Continue Reading…
