Dragon Ball Super Episode 88 Title- Gohan and Piccolo, Student and Master Train To The Limit
In order for Universe 7 to win the tournament of power, Gohan’s Recovery is important. Gohan’s Master, Piccolo puts him through a special one-on-one training in order to help his body gain back it’s lost strength. What is the result of his training?
Gohan’s training for the tournament of power! Master Piccolo’s special training. I will make Gohan stronger!!
Ever since Dragon Ball Super started, a majority of the fans have been demanding the return of Gohan, the warrior Gohan, the badass Gohan. Guys, we now have enough hints, that in this arc Gohan will get his motivation back, and might as well end up doing something impactful, in turn doing justice to his name.
In the Zen exhibition, for the first time in a long while, Gohan finally got his fighting spirits back, and he is now genuinely excited and pumped up to fight. He even credits his Saiyan Blood for that.
Now, in preparation for this tournament, Gohan is training with his all time master Piccolo, and Episode 88 will highlight that intense training. As Gohan and Piccolo push each other to their limits. In the spoilers, it has been mentioned that ‘ Gohan’s recovery is important’. Some fans are thinking that they are implying he is even weaker than he was previously in DBS, but that’s not what they meant here. They are just indicating towards Gohan’s overall messed up condition, you know like he is a family guy, not a fighter and all that. Even though he is pumped up, even though he is motivated to fight, even though he got back the inspiration that he was not feeling even when he trained with Piccolo previously on DBS after Golden Frieza happened. This time since Gohan is pumped it’s going to be totally different, and hopefully, both Gohan and Piccolo will surpass their limits.
Now, there’s a legit question, that shouldn’t Gohan be training with someone like Whis instead of Piccolo?
Because Piccolo has been training him forever, and must not have too much to give at this point; I am actually ok with Piccolo training Gohan, it’s not always about power. It’s like no one knows Gohan better than Piccolo, and Gohan is not any typical fighter, a lot depend on his mood, and how much of his potential is being utilized. PIccolo is someone who will always be able to bring the best out of Gohan. I think Gohan should never ever stop training with PIccolo. However, additionally a training session with Whis or someone of such high level would be exciting too, and might help Gohan to achieve new levels of power.
So, here’s my prediction relating to Gohan, and listen to this carefully; as most of my predictions come true. Like, I called the return of Future Trunks during Frieza Saga, I called the female Broly thing and much more.
So, I think this arc is not going to be the arc of Gohan, but this arc is going to be an arc through which Gohan will return as a fighter, get his motivation back, and then an upcoming arc will be his arc.
The reason I think Gohan won’t win big is because we are going to have a Battle Royal, and Gohan is not the best in terms of Strategy and technique. In a death battle, Gohan can kill Krillin any day, but case not same when it comes to actually having to outsmart someone like Krillin as we see in Episode 84. Gohan might be stronger than 90% of the fighters in the battle royal, and yet he might not make it to the top because there are going to be many other who should be able to outsmart him. If DBS makes Gohan really successful in this arc, that would be a bad decision. Gohan after getting fired up during this arc, should then go on to train with someone of Whis’s level, and then in that future arc, he can have his moment like the one he had with Cell back in DBZ.
This would also justify PIccolo training Gohan, because Gohan currently needs to get his basics back. He needs to recover himself; he is not even at his own best self let alone him trying to reach a new level. To be clear, by training with Piccolo he will recover, and then go for something beyond maybe in the next arc.
Also, don’t forget about PIccolo, as he is a great combination of strategy and power. If you go by 100% logic, Piccolo should be among the best performers of U7 in the tournament.
So, this is enough information for me to realize, that The Warrior Gohan is back, we just have to wait for him, and witness his journey back to Greatness.
We also have a little Episode 89 Spoiler, Basically Goku will meet Roshi and Tien in Tien’s martial arts academy in the process of forming the team, but something mysterious will happen. We’ll talk more about that later.
