Otaku Highlights!: JYXDI Brings Anime to life!

WHat’s up Otaku fam!,
We are back again with another Otaku Highlights! segment, this time with the incredibly talented JYXDI! You may have seen us share some of her amazing work on our Facebook page, AnimeBlog, so it was only natural that we had to catch up to her and get to know the person contributing  literal works of art to the Otaku culture!
What inspired you to get into illustration?
I remember my parents telling me about how I first started drawing. Apparently I was a troubled little 2 year old running around the house scribbling on the walls with crayons. I’ve been engaged with art ever since.
How long have you been at it?
3. I’ve been painting ever since I was 10. I am turning 21 this month. So it has been more than ten years.
What equipment do you use and what’s your favorite tool out of them?
I experiment with acrylics, watercolours, oils and many other mediums. My most favourite are of colours because they allow me to give more depth and colour into a piece!
How long did it take you to get as good as you are and do you feel you still have room to grow?
For the last four years, I’ve been painting almost every day. Every night I spend at least two hours practicing my skills. I still have room to grow. I learn something new every time I pick up my paintbrush.
What are you future goals/plans for you and your talents?
I want to expand my art and grow worldwide. I will be hosting exhibitions internationally. Live painting events are coming soon in Toronto.
So, What’s next up for Jyxdi?
New exciting paintings are coming soon and also JYXDI clothing line!
Lastly, for everyone who wants to get in contact with you what is the best way to reach out to you?
