Ever since the water event recently there has been an incredible increase of Gyarados in gyms.

Dragonite has always been a solid gym defender and a popular one at hat however, Gyarados is quickly becoming more common and honestly, just as dangerous.

But the only issue now is that electric types are beginning to become more and more important as a result, as the can easily take down these Gyarados filled gyms.

So in order to make gyms slightly less easy for electric types, we should even it out with a rock or earth type event.

This is because most trainers probably don’t have multiple 3000 cp Rhydon’s to put into gyms as defenders.

So an increase in rock and earth types will also increase the variety of Pokémon we see in each gym and who attacks them, instead of just Lapras, Gyarados and Dragonite all the time.

However, some people may also feel that an electric type event would also be great for diversity, but that would only decrease the value of Gyarados.

Plus honestly I would love to have a team of incredibly powerful Onix’s, and an event like that can make that dream happen.
