Pokemon Go: Daily Quest Exp Break-Down

Hello Trainers. Niantic has been on a roll with the Halloween event and now daily quests are being added. These daily quests will give players extra Exp, stardust, and several kinds of items. We will focus on the Exp gains and try to figure out how much Exp we are actually getting from these quests. Let’s take a quick look at the patch notes to make clear our calculations:

Catching a Pokémon every day will earn the following bonus:
– 500 XP
– 600 Stardust

Catching a Pokémon every day for 7 days straight will earn the following larger bonus:
– 2,000 XP
– 2,400 Stardust

Visiting a PokéStop and spinning the Photo Disc every day will earn the following bonus:
– 500 XP
– A number of additional items

Visiting a PokéStop every day for 7 days straight will earn the following larger bonus:
– 2,000 XP
– A greater number of additional items

Let’s calculate how much Exp we can expect from a month’s worth of doing daily quests. Let’s start with catching Pokemon. If we assume that you only catch one Pokemon every day for 7 days. This is what it will look like:

100(Pokemon Caught)+10(curve ball bonus) +100,10 or 50 (Excellent,great or Nice Throw)+500 Exp=620~710

From this we can see that if you only catch one Pokemon a day for the daily quest then you will earn somewhere between 620-710 Exp a day. To calculate what you will get weekly I will assume that on the 7th consecutive day instead of earning 500 Exp you will earn 2000 exp instead. I do this because this is the most conservative approach when trying to calculate. As of now we don’t know if on the 7th day you will earn the 500 Exp plus the 2000 Exp 7th day bonus or if the 500 Exp bonus just converts to 2000 Exp instead. The safest way to calculate is to just assume we get 2000 Exp on the 7th day instead of 2500 Exp. With this assumption in mind this is what we get.
(620~710*6 (Monday-Saturday) + 2000=5,720~6,260
Weekly, you can expect something between 5,720~6,260 and if we multiply by four you can expect 22,880~25,040 worth of Exp a month if you only catch one Pokemon everyday for a month.

Let’s calculate exp earned from PokeStops. Again we assume you only interact with one PokeStop a day for a month and you earn 2000 Exp on the 7th consecutive day instead of 2500.
50 (PokeStop Exp)+500=550 Exp
(550*6)+2000=5,300
5,300*4=21,200
So we can expect to earn 21,200 Exp monthly for the PokeStop daily quests.

Taking everything into consideration the daily quests can help Pokemon trainers gain a lot of Exp. Potentially at least 40,000 Exp a month. That is enough to level up at least once. This is good news for casual players who do not have the time to invest in playing. The extra Exp can is good for more dedicated trainers wishing to reach max level. Daily quest exp can also be increased with the lucky egg item so this presents another huge chance for leveling up quick.
