Hello all, after being on social media lately I have noticed that there has been a spike in people talking about Pokémon Go since Niantic announced their first ever official event on Halloween.
This weekend players will be able to get double the candies by catching and transferring Pokémon and quadruple the amount of candies walking with their buddy Pokémon.
Also there will be a massive increase in the spookiest Pokemon spawns such as Drowzee, Hypno, Ghastly, Haunter, Gengar, Goldbat and Zubat (because apparently we don’t get enough Zubats already).
However, we already know about all this; with a number of posts on social networks and articles already dedicated to the Halloween event.
What I’m saying is that because of this event I feel many players who may have stopped or slowed down on using the app, have taken it up again.
Obviously this is just an opinion based off my observations, but Pokémon Go players do have a lot to look forward to with many updates coming up, legendary Pokémon coming soon, second generation Pokémon will become available and the obviously the much anticipated Pokémon Go weekend Halloween event.
There haven’t been any numbers yet to confirm it, but with so much to offer this weekend I assume there will be an increase in Pokémon Go players using the app compared to recent weeks.
Many players have already taken to Facebook, Twitter and Reddit saying that they can’t wait for the event and that they already see the increase in these spooky Pokémon spawns.
And from what I have seen, it does look to me that more people have been talking about the app again.
Now if this event does have a skyrocketing effect, can Niantic keep the interest past this weekend? We will just have to wait and see, with all these updates coming soon, there is no reason why not.
Please let me know what you think in the comments, are you excited about the Halloween event or all the other updates?
