Since its launch, it has been impossible to get Legendary Pokémon on Pokémon GO. Niantic will most likely release these Pokémon during special events, but will everyone be able to get them? The Legendary Pokémon need to be released in a way that allows everyone to “catch ‘em all” as they say. Plus, when they add the Legendary rosters from other regions, the numbers will add up quickly. Here are a couple suggestions on how to introduce Legendary Pokémon into Pokémon GO.
What if you could hatch Legendary Pokémon from eggs? Of course you would not hatch them from some basic egg, but from a special GOLDEN egg. What if there were very rare gold eggs you could get from Poké Stops? They could hatch random Legends after walking a certain distance (10km or more). This would give everyone a chance to get at least one Legendary. You could even get multiples of the same Legendary, which would encourage trading when that feature becomes available. It would also get people to walk around more so they could have room in their egg section to store a potential Legendary egg. I think if the Legends were introduced this way, I would get many people playing again, and more frequently.
Earning the Legendary Birds
Since the three Legendary Birds are the team mascots, it kind of makes sense that only certain teams could catch them. What if they were a reward for reaching a certain level? No one has reached level forty yet, why not make the team bird a prize? To be honest though, I think a gym reward is a much better idea. Why not get a Legendary Bird after beating a certain number of gyms? For example, let’s say a Team Valor member beats one-hundred gyms, Moltres would appear for them to catch! But what if they failed to catch Moltres? Well, they would need to beat one-hundred more gyms. They could also add more gyms to the requirement after each encounter. You could also get multiples of the Legendary Bird this way so you could trade a duplicate of the Legendary you already have for a different Legendary Mascot from another team! This would even encourage different teams to cooperate and play together.
