Hey everyone! I’m here today to discuss the hyped episodes of the year that recently came out. Naruto Shippuden Episode 476 and 477!

To begin with, Studio Pierriot, BRAVO. There have been MANY discussions, opinions, and rumors about how well the fight was going to be handled. Animation, art, music, voice acting, filler content. All of these things were on the board on whether or not it would be executed in a way that would satisfy the fan base with what we DESERVE.

So, when the manga came out everyone was ecstatic about the content Kishimoto had drawn to give us. He layed down the foundation for what to expect when Shippuden and the gaming space would provide for us as fans of the series.

With that said, when Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 came out, Cyber Connect 2 DELIVERED! The Naruto vs Sasuke boss battle met our expectations and MORE when you experienced it in gameplay. The epic cinematic cutscenes followed by the interactive flashbacks, alongside the music and voice acting tied it all together and made it a very very well executed adaptive version of the fight.

Now, with Naruto Shippuden finally caught up, lets get down to the meat! First off, the animation. The animation for this fight was amazing. Much much better than the typical Shippuden animation quality we usually get. You can definitely tell the Studio was saving their budget to create the nice, fluid, and stunning animation we got for BOTH Episodes. More frames, more in-betweens, the lighting, the camera angles, the solid use of 2D and 3D camouflaged PERFECTLY and it didn’t feel like it was copy and pasted. The choreography provided by the director they called in did fantastic. The filler content that was added made the fight even MORE enjoyable.

The hand to hand at the beginning was filler and it really caught my attention. Showcasing Sasuke using the Universal Pull technique that Pain used, as well as Sasuke showcasing KIRIN! Which completely shocked me because it was a suggestion we all wanted to see, but Kishimoto never drew it in the manga! Talk about incredible.

The use of part 1 mixed with part 2 OST as background music, fused with the flashbacks really gave the fight that nostalgic feeling we all felt while watching. As well as the perfect hinting from various fighting techniques from part 1 ( Uzumaki Barrage, Naruto’s left hook when he fought Neji, etc.)

Overall, the fight was much more than I expected. I personally thought Studio Pierriot wouldn’t be able to deliver what Cyber Connect 2 gave us in Storm 4, but boy was I wrong! I even thought the Anime outdid the Manga, with all respects to Kishimoto-sensei.

Although there was one mistake I spotted, which is a very clear indication. Someone forgot to draw Naruto’s whiskers before their final clash, but with all the rest that we got I’m not even mad.

Overall the fight was amazing and I’m glad how they delivered it.

I give Episode 476 a 10/10 and Episode 477 a 9.5/10!

So tell me your thoughts! Which adaptation of the fight did you enjoy more? Was it the game, the manga, or the anime? Did you feel like anything was missing? What would you have added to make it more epic? How did you feel after watching the episode? Let me know! Thanks and Ill see you for the next episode of Shippuden!
