DragonBall Super, is it REALLY worth watching?

Hey there! If you’re reading this you’re not too late, because I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one feeling this way.

Now, Ive been a fan of Dragonball for YEARS. Ever since its original series Dragonball, then Dragonball Z, and yes, even Dragonball GT I enjoyed (don’t judge me). However, I am here today to talk to you all about Dragonball Super.

Now, Dragonball Z truly ended for me with a nice resolution at the end of the Buu Saga where we see Goku fighting Uub in the world Martial Arts tournament. As well as seeing Teen Gohan and Teen Trunks. Dragonball Super is said to begin before that timeskip at the end of the Buu Saga. I remember when I was in Jamaica at my cousin’s house and thats when the Dragonball Super Anime premiered. Remember, it had been years since I’ve watched any new Dragonball content. I never saw “Battle of Gods” because the whole Red hair God-mode being a mock of “Kaioken” bothered me. Anyways, I watched the first episode and already I already noticed that the show was going to be a waste for me from that time.

Goku, the legendary warrior I had grown to love was a farmer who ironically got money from Hercule so he could train……..talk about forcing a character’s progression to try and create content. I was disappointed, but I kept my mind open. So, after that I FINALLY gave in and watched Battle of Gods. The animation was good, however, the way Akira Toriyama introduced Lord Beerus and Whis and the whole “there are gods and other universes out there” within the span of the movie time was so rushed and not believable at all. Me as a Dragonball fan for over 20 years was automatically supposed to believe all of this when NONE of it was brought up even ONCE over the course of 20 years…bruh.
